WENHUI JIANG / Wernhuey

BEIJING, LONDON,

Wenhui Jiang is a Chinese designer and artist based in London. She studied Product Design for her undergraduate degree and later completed an MA in Information Experience Design at the Royal College of Art.

Her work sits between spatial design, interactive installations, and visual production. She is interested in how digital and physical elements can come together to shape immersive experiences. Her recent projects include pop-up environments, runway installations, and exhibition spaces, where she translates ideas and brand narratives into spatial form.

With a background that combines both artistic exploration and hands-on production, Wenhui works across 3D design, creative coding, and visual storytelling. She is used to developing ideas from early concepts through to build-ready outcomes, including coordinating materials, working with suppliers, and supporting on-site installation.

Sensory experience remains an important part of her practice. Rather than focusing only on vision, she looks at how light, sound, and spatial composition affect how people feel and behave in a space. Her work often explores the subtle relationship between people, objects, and their surroundings.

More recently, she has been experimenting with using AI as part of her design process — mainly as a way to analyse references and quickly test spatial ideas in the early stages of a project. She sees it as a practical tool that supports thinking, rather than something that replaces it.

Through this approach, Wenhui aims to create work that is both thoughtful and grounded in real-world experience.
